SCIOX Cabinets – Serial production of standardized X-rays not only for industry. Further, these devices can be extended with additional functions according to Your requirements, for example: automated algorithms for evaluating the captured images.

These devices are suitable for man operated work, especially for control and analytical purposes, can be measured directly in the image and to change positions there is the integrated position system included in the device.

Using the positioning system, data can be acquired for subsequent CT reconstruction to obtain a 3D model of the controlled product sample.

Normal focus

Powerful X-ray tube allows to illuminate even objects with more mass. Depending on the type of application we use mostly X-ray tubes with output up to 140 kV. In the case of special applications, the device can be equipped with more powerful X-ray tubes.

By suitable optimization of the X-ray source it is possible to achieve significant savings on the price of the whole equipment. However, it is not worth saving at all costs and it is advisable to choose a suitable X-ray tube.

Micro focus

  • The 100 kV X-ray tube with a focal point of up to 50 μm is suitable for basic placementquality analyzes. X-ray tube has power up to 50W. Up to 6x magnification can be achieved with this X-ray tube
  • The 120 kV X-ray tube with a focal point of up to 50 μm is suitable for basicplacementquality analyzes. X-ray tube has power up to 25W. Up to 6x magnificationcan
    be achieved with this X-ray tube.Compared to the 80kV version, it is more suitable for analyzing components that have a metal housing. It makes better contrast and penetrates more.
  • The 90 kV X-ray tube with a focal length of up to 5 μm is suitable for detailed inspection of the installation or components. X-ray tube has power up to 39W! Up to 30x magnification can be achieved with this X-ray tube. 90kV max voltage is sufficient for most controls in the SMT sphere and also for checking small components.
  • The 130 kV X-ray tube with a focal length of up to 5 μm is suitable for detailed inspection of the installation or components. X-ray tube has power up to 39W! Up to 30x magnification can be achieved with this X-ray tube.

TDI

For these applications we mostly use TDI detectors, which have the advantage of the size of the detection area while maintaining a very interesting price, for example compared to the Flat panel. Compared to the flat panel, the TDI detector takes 10-30 seconds (depending on the settings).

For more serial inspections, we install Flat CMOS detectors, which allow you to take a snapshot of a fraction of a second and thus speed up the inspection. Investing in a detector is definitely worth it.

DDA (flat panel)

The high-resolution sensitiveX-ray detector enables high-quality X-ray images. The detectors that we install in SCIOX SMT products are of theflat panel type based on the CMOSdetector technology. It is a large-area X-Ray detector that manages to capture images at speeds up to 30fps, allowing real-time tracking of an object in X-ray. Thanks to the manipulatorused in the SCIOX SMT X-ray machine, you can move the object during X-ray and analyze it in real time.

Choosing the right detectorfor your specific application is important for maximizing the use of X-ray in your enterprise. At the same time, the detector is one of the most expensive components in the device. It is worth paying attention to the appropriate choice of detector to maximize your X-ray investment.

In the SCIOX SMT is a very useful position manipulator with a positioning system that allows you to move and rotatearound an axis with the printed circuit board. Thanks to the use of the Flat panel detector it is possible to manipulate the object during X-ray inspection. The object manipulator allows you to use geometric magnification by bringing the object closer to the X-ray. Depending on the X-ray source used, you can achieve magnification up to 1000x.

The manipulator is also the basis for possible extension of the device to computed tomography (CT). By precisely rotating around its axis it is possible to capture input data for model reconstruction. With advancedadd-on software, you can reconstruct CT scanson SMT devices. CT scan allows tolook inside layers of printed circuit board, analyze connection of layers to vias or analyze inner structure of objects.

Computer

Most of our X-ray devices are supplied in a comprehensive way to make it as easy to use as possible. A built-in and pre-set computer is included. It is very simple to start using the SCIOX X-ray scanner.

The computer in the SCIOX X-ray machine is equipped with a large capacity hard disk drive, allowing data archiving. The device can also be connected to the Internet for fast support, remote diagnostics, remote system upgrades on your device, and increased storage capacity by connecting to cloud services.

Software SCIOX App

Each X-ray machine includes control software. Controlling of the device including taking and archiving of pictures is done by supplied SW. The software is completely developed by our company, allowing flexible customization according to aspects of specific control in Your company.

The basis of the software is the possibility of taking X-ray images and its subsequent possibility of archivinginto a structured database. Thanks to the software, it is easy to look back and find the pictures taken from the inspections so that all pictures can be archived for possible claims.

3D CT reconstruction

For reconstruction, viewing andanalysis of CT images we use the supplied software Volume Graphics Studio. Even the basic version of the program allows extensive analysis, especially when viewing data in the form of a 3D model. The program allows connection of many plug-ins thanks to which it is possible to perform many advanced analyzes. Worth mentioning are, for example, the analysis of the porosity of the castings, the comparison of the model with the CAD data, the automatic measurement of the sizes or the analysis of the fibers of the composite material.
